Ron Trujillo
Born in Durango, "Born again" and raised in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Ron is a clear
cut "Native" of this beautiful area. Ron attended and played football at Fort Lewis
College (Durango, Colorado) in the mid 70's graduating with a Business Administration
Degree in 1977. Married to Felicia with 3 children, Sebastian (22), Pariss (17) and
Tristan(13). After 12 years specializing in Mountain Property and Ranch sales in the
Colorado Springs area Ron purchased and developed Eagle Peak Ranch in Westcliffe,
Colorado. In 1995 Ron and his family moved back to Durango and began buying and
developing ranches in the area. "I love buying beautiful Alpine Ranches and getting
them ready to build for my customers." The ranches are developed into nothing smaller
than 35 acres and range between 35 and 550 acres in size. The ranches come developed
with underground utilities, roads and completed surveys. Central water or wells are
available to most of the properties. Excellent Protective Covenants are characteristic
to all 9 ranches now available at Durango Alpine Realty owned and developed by Ron.
"Being the Owner/Developer and having the Marketing Company all under one roof
enables me to keep my overhead down, thus making it easier to keep the prices of
my property below market and give my customer immediate equity." Besides his love
for the Ranch Real Estate Business Ron really enjoys the fact that many of his customers

Thad Trujillo
As a 5th generation native of SW Colorado, I have utilized my ranching background along with my appetite to explore our vast wilderness to gain a knowledge of the area that few Durango brokers attain. With 10 years experience in real estate, first as a development specialist working on two beautiful large working ranches with the end goal of creating a wildlife friendly neighborhood with privacy yet convenience for the end user. These two successful ranches were the beginning of many eco-friendly projects in my background. In 1999, I joined the ranks of the general real estate arena maintaining my focus on land, however, gaining experience with residential and commercial opportunities. In 2005 and 2006 I earned the "Salesperson of the Year" for The Wells Group, the largest producing office in SW Colorado.
I am also committed to my family and community life. As lifelong Christians, my family enjoys the opportunities & solitude that the mountains of SW Colorado provide. My wife, Dr. Jenni, is a Professor of Education at Fort Lewis College in Durango. Her life goal is to create better teachers in our society that have an understanding and tolerance for children that English is a 2nd language. Being raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Jenni has experienced the challenges firsthand and is now working on her 3rd book regarding childhood education. We have two young daughters, Thalia and Karina, two dogs (Jojo and Max), four horses and a mule.
I currently serve as President of the Fort Lewis College Booster Club. Having been a Quarterback for Fort Lewis College in the early 90's and played professional football in Europe, I have a passion to assist the student athletes that endure so much for their sports and studies. I also serve on the Fort Lewis College Foundation Executive Board and previously served on the President's Advisory Board on Hispanic Affairs. I volunteer for the Colorado Mounted Rangers and assist in Search & Rescue via horseback in the deep wilderness of the area. I will be beginning a new volunteer endeavor as a member of the Mercy Hospital Board. My greatest passion, however, is to hunt and fish. I spend more than my share exploring the several million acres of national forest our area has to offer and will barely scratch the surface in my lifetime!
Matt Lindvall
I have lived in Colorado for over 34 years. After growing up in the Midwest I moved
to Colorado for the winters but stayed for the summers. I have been an avid snow
skier all my life and enjoy all the great recreation Colorado has to offer. My favorite
way to explore our Ranch Properties is by Mountain bike with my black lab Jack.
After a 25 year career in Law enforcement for the Vail Colorado Police Department
my wife, Carol, and I moved to Durango. We purchased the Largo Vista Ranch in
Durango Ridge over nine years ago and are currently building our dream home.
Carol and I both have lived in Colorado for a very long time and we picked Durango
to relocate to for its great weather, the Historic Downtown and the beauty of the
San Juans and LaPlata Mountain Ranges. Durango offers all the very best of Colorado.
I have been a licensed Real Estate Broker in Colorado for over 28 years. After we
purchased our Ranch from Ron Trujillo, the Owner of Durango Alpine Realty, he asked
me what I want to do when we moved to Durango. I liked the way he did business so
much I went to work with him. I really enjoy showing our Ranch properties and invite

Brian Zwisler
For the last 30 years Brian has called the Durango area, home. After
college, the balance of the 80’s were dedicated to building custom homes
with his brother Martin as a partner in Zwisler Bros. Construction. That
background has given Brian an ability to observe important details and
highlight often unseen benefits in a home that the untrained eye might not
see. Later, Brian jumped into the corporate world and applying his detail
oriented nature, won salesman of the year for Xerox Agents in the Four
Corners. Further honing his skills and unleashing his more creative side,
Brian started his own promotional marketing business. Believing in the
axiom that a good education is the key to a smooth real estate transaction,
Brian received his GRI designation by completing 17 Institute courses. More
recently, Brian also achieved a coveted designation as a Certified Luxury
Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS). This designation is achieved through
specialized training regarding the upper tier markets and through sales
performance requirements in the local luxury market. Away from work, Brian
enjoys spending time with his wife Joan and their daughter, Zoey.
